Ireland winning was in a friendly, and most of the Windies were tanked up on Guinness.C_C said:Btw, even IF the bangladeshis win here, it will probably not go down as the biggest upset in cricketing history.
For one, Kenya ( a non Test nation) beating the WI in 1996 world cups was one of the major upsets...for two, the greatest upset, IIRC, was Ireland beating the impregnable West Indies....IRELAND!

same with MacGill's 8-fer, but we all know it will.Eclipse said:If gilly scores a ton here IMO it should not be rubbished or over looked at all for the fact it's against Bangladesh..
Yeah Right, it should be put ahead of VVS's 281.Eclipse said:If gilly scores a ton here IMO it should not be rubbished or over looked at all for the fact it's against Bangladesh..
No because it would have been scored by an Aussie, so it should never be rubbished !!Eclipse said:If gilly scores a ton here IMO it should not be rubbished or over looked at all for the fact it's against Bangladesh..
I know it was a friendly...havnt heard about being tanked up on Guiness...but IIRC, it was Sobers-Kanhai-Hall and the rest....no joke for a bunch of weekend warriors if you ask me.luckyeddie said:Ireland winning was in a friendly, and most of the Windies were tanked up on Guinness.
I for one do not appreciate your continual insults of Bangladesh.aussie said:uh huh, and i was told to relax, obviously this crap is going to make me lose little hair i have and make me spend hours vomiting.

They are NOT Banglafools and they are NOT Bangla effing anything else, so kindly refrain from your despicable racist insults.
Over the last two days you have shown yourself up to be an immature child with an immature attitude and a propensity to spit the dummy every time something nasty happens to somebody else's team. Now grow up or clear off.
No. He is being very nice about it. You'd end up copping a black eye or two if you kept that attitude in public.aussie said:haha, you are so harsh
aussie said:regardless of the opposition.
On the contrary - I am one of the people who have given you a friendly ribbing in the past for other reasons, but this is nothing to do with you being English, nothing to do with you supporting Manchester United but everything to do with asking you to calm things down.aussie said:haha, you are so harsh
Indeed, an excellent innings under considerable pressure.Trigger_Tiger said:While getting our hands all dirty trying to clean the muck (Aussie).....joking yo :P, we actually forgot to talk about Gilly's century !!!!!

Yeps, when I was in 5th grade they won the ODI status and I just got out of shcool and people on the streets were playing with colors, we all went crazy.....and after the miraculous World Cup game win over the Pakistani's in 1999 we actually had a public holiday the day after :P, the Prime Minister had announced the "DAY OFF" for everyone to enjoy a little while chit-chatting about the game or playing the game itself !!!!!~~~~~_Ed_ said:
I see.
The Bangladesh supporters love the game so much and their celebrations when they win are great to see. I think they really deserve every bit of success they get. Even if it comes against NZ next summer!
That's awesome. Imagine the joy if they can hold on and win this one.Trigger_Tiger said:Yeps, when I was in 5th grade they won the ODI status and I just got out of shcool and people on the streets were playing with colors, we all went crazy.....and after the miraculous World Cup game win over the Pakistani's in 1999 we actually had a public holiday the day after :P, the Prime Minister had announced the "DAY OFF" for everyone to enjoy a little while chit-chatting about the game or playing the game itself !!!!!~~~~~
