**Official** Australia in Bangladesh

Sportsgirl

School Boy/Girl Captain
Uncapped off-spinner Daniel Cullen and left-arm paceman Nathan Bracken have been added to the Australian squad for the Test tour of Bangladesh.

With champion leg-spinner Shane Warne nursing an elbow problem and the pace attack starting to tire after a long summer, the pair's selection was described by National Selection Panel chairman Andrew Hilditch as a proactive decision.

Relax mate.
Its just a game- dont burst a blood vessel for the sake of, as i like to often say, ' whacking a ball with a stick'.

No, no. Stop kidding. They just stuck it rich with a few lucky shots and a few streaky ones and then when they came on to bowl, the batsmen just realised it was the end of a long season and decided to get tired and played some lazy shots.

Bangladesh playing better cricket than Australia, even for half a game ??? NO NO

Agreed. I don't know what came over me. It was a moment of weakness. Temporary insanity some would say. I think I may have also had a bit too much to drink too. I'm also under the influence of a local anaesthetic and admittedly it's 12:39am. I haven't eaten in a good hour or so and my blood sugar is rather low. To top it off, I've been listening to Pink Floyd. Apologies to the natural order of the sport we love.

Excuse me but this is derogatory and completely unecessary language.

The thing I really liked about this session of bowling so far is the tightness and tidiness , just 2 extras have been given so far. And that too just two no-balls.....

So here's a question:
How many of these performances will it take for Bangladesh to be included (and not excluded as lowly minnows) in statistical assessments throughout the CW community?

*waits for the day that pathan can make a devious claim to world-class test all-rounder status*8-)

Won't happen. Regardless of what improvements Bangladesh make in the future, Pathan cashed in on them when they still weren't very good at all.

I dont think the day is far away- with or without the bangles and zimboks- that Pathan will stake a claim as a bona-fide allrounder. Just compare him - a lad who is 21 years + change in age to various other allrounders at similar career stage.
He isnt too far off.

Honestly, a win here would dub them as an ever-improving side. Not so much of a minow, but unless they produce more matches of such degree, the word "MINNOWS" cannot be rubbed off as of yet.....

.....Seriosuly a game here and there in Test Matches and ODIs wouldn't do a team any good. In ODI's they are improving and are somewhat mroe consistent now.

Only when they are atleast consistent enough in the longer version of the game, shall we be able to say "Bangladesh are no more the minnows of cricket!!!!!"

This is precious. Not only are you peeved that Australia is struggling against Bangladesh, but now you're complaining about umpiring decisions being AGAINST Australia? Woe is you and the Australian cricket team. Can't catch a break these days. :p

Well I'd say Bangladesh are currently right between minnow-class and world-class. They can beat the crap out of the genuine minnows ie Kenya, but the world-class champions ie Australia beat the crap out of them. Oh wait, my bad ..

because every bangladeshi is intent on making you, and no other cricket fan in the world, pull hair out and vomit.
if it makes you feel better, india lost to these banglakings too. (but that was an ODI!)
