***Official*** Australia in Bangladesh 2017

Australia has the upper hand no doubt but Australia missed batting BD out of the game right in this innings
I can see BD scratching about in the third innings, with some rain, and the 4th innings chase for Australia is going to be a small yet tricky banana-peel target (like 140), and they stumble and lose a couple of early wickets, panic sets in, everyone gets excited for BD, it keeps raining, and ultimately late on the 5th day Australia get over the line with like 6 or 7 wickets down.

Matthew Wade will probably score the winning runs too. The ****.

Wishing for an opposition player to be banned is right up there with wishing for rain or injury.

Then again, can't expect any better from fans of a minnow nation can I.

Nah, after careful consideration of all the evidence I've simply come to the conclusion that what he did breaches the law and he ought to cop a ban for it. If he hadn't done it, he's be all right to play on.

Unfortunate that you're seeking to defend such blatant cheating by seeking to divert from the issues at hand, *****. Plainly the laws and spirit of the game mean nothing to you.

Not that I expected better. Next thing you'll be posting "but her emails.." to divert attention from this blatant abuse of the laws of cricket. Sad.

I suspect this sort of nefarious activity explains Bangladesh's improved performances over the past 12-18 months.

Probably also explains how the Fizz got the new rock to start swinging all of a sudden when he hasn't moved one off the straight all series.

The laws on tampering are vague and open to interpretation. You are allowed to polish the ball on your slacks but not the out field? You can use a coarse napkin made by child labour in some vietnamese sweat shop out of goat wool but not a little big of soil? Who defines the boundaries? Where is the line drawn?

All that is up to the umpires and the match referee.

That clip looks to me like Shakib looked down, spotted a patch of dirt sticking out of the ground (no doubt caused by some careless Aussie running), and reached for the nearest apparatus to him (ie the ball) to help flatten and smoothen it out. Much like a batsman would do with his bat - right on the pitch and in full view of the umpires.

It is disappointing to me that you would levy such heavy accusations on such miniscule evidence, and that you would deem Shakib guilt without even a single peep from the Umpires, Match Referee, and noted cheat Steven Smith. Much like the trochophobic monkey incident earlier, you seem to be of the stance that one is guilty until proven innocent.

Very disappointing from a supposed lawyer, but standard behaviour from an Australian I suppose.
