To sum this up, what looked like an impressive batting performance ended up looking a ridiculously weak one from the Indians. While that performance would look good on a sporting wicket, this was heavily loaded to favour the batsmen, and the Pakistani batsmen used it a lot better, hitting at least a four in every over- in comparison to the Indians pinching (or even walking) singles so often.
The Indian team now looks vulnerable on flat wickets. We don't know if the bowlers are good enough to bowl on flat wickets, especially with one less. We don't even find the batsmen good enough to bat on flat wickets, especially with one more. If they can accomplish a task with four specialists batting sensibly, you don't need so many- especially one who only gets the final smash-out overs, only to fail.
Both teams had good batting performances. However, the extra hits to the fence and into the stands by the Pakistanis made a difference. Moreover, as Amir Sohail stated, Pakistan had five regular bowlers- as against India's four bowlers and assorted mediocrity. However, when your top four bowlers are so woefully out of form, we're expecting too much.
