There were some borderline decisions which went in favor of Sri lanka. But fair play their bowlers absolutely owned our middle order.

Lol you really underestimate India's test batting lineup, and overate SL's bowling.
Sehwag single handedly won a a game against SL last time at Galle, with Murali and Mendis in top form. This time I even doubt Mendis would play and this is would be Murali's second to last test series.

The fast bowling is no better.
Has Malinga even been playing 4 day first class cricket yet? And Fernando is an over grown brainless pie chucker, who has sucked continuously for the last decade.

You have not read in to the post IMO. SL have absolutely no chance beating India on a slow turner, due to the problems we have with spinners. And you don't throw new promising spinners at Indian batsmen as well. best thing is to go for seam, bounce and pace and hope for the best. Even Sehwag did struggle against Prasad, and PJ kept dropping them when Prasad produced the edges. Fernando is bowling better now and fast as well. He has improved a lot IMO. he has to be used as a strike bowler and expect to go for runs. Thushara and Mathews are the stock bowlers and Fernado / Prasad / Malinga are the attacking bowlers who like to hit the pitch hard.

I don't see who else merits it, tbh.. Rohit is still not convincing in ODIs, Kohli obviously has technique issues to sort out, even though I do see him as the successor to Dravid at #3 for us in the future and Raina can't play the short one at all.. I think Badri deserves another go. After all, he did make a 50 on debut and is just 2 tests old..

Short answer is yes. Long answer is that, for the past few years, his fielding has been a shadow of what it once was. He used to be in the top dozen fielders in the world, but now he is sloppy, poor and error prone. He had lazer surgery on his knee about a year ago which helped his fielding, a great deal, but it deteriorated since then.
