But Pak are just a strange side. They have far better talent now than they did say from 2005-2015 or so and yet apart from the CT win, they have little notable achievements. I am afraid this maybe a repeat of their 90s when they had what really should have been close to one of the ATG sides and yet had nothing to show for it.

yeah but its the former players who are all over social media.

And tbh, I really liked their late 90s side. The odd interview on Teesra aside, most of them spoke well in their public interactions and Inzy is one of the most likeable cricketers to have ever played the game, IMO. This side is good, but personally, I liked a lot of their 90s cricketers. Ijaz Ahmed etc. were just so fun and yet likeable.

They have all turned jingoistic grumps on social media these days mostly, but I feel its unfair to judge them that way based on what they are doing now.

Not sure if pakistan’s old crop should be singled out for being nosy bunch of people when Indian cricketers of the same gen are no less at that. Its just viewing the picture from one lens.
