Hard to do something with the bat when you only get 2 innings in 6 games. 28* and run out for 19. He's been fine. He only got 3 innings for India B too, and two of those were towards the end of low run chases. He scored a 20 smth and a 2 not out in those. His one proper chance to bat he was out for 3. Not much of a sample size.

Yeah, apart from Pant and Hardik, Jadhav is our best replacement for Raina right now as lower order basher.

- Dhoni comes in in a situation where India need to keep the runrate up
- Dhoni plods his way to 30(52) completely killing the innings' momentum
- Dhoni hits a few fours at the very end ending up at 48(60)
- Since he technically ends up with a SR of 80, his stats aren't hurt but the innings hasn't helped the team one bit

Also that 2016-18 slow is different from 2005-13 slow. Maintaining momentum is the most important thing and he is not capable of doing that. And I don't trust him to do well in England at all.

While we're on the topic of Dhoni - I was wondering why he shaved off the white stubble. Just saw him in advertisements clean shaven so I suppose that explains it.

This is so spot on it deserves being published and sent to BCCI lol. Our middle order is not the best at the minute - because of that I would not drop him as our middle order just is not scoring - however I would sit him down and tell him you have 3 more games to either you change the way you are playing/approaching the innings as it no longer works if not then you are dropped for good.

Dhoni had a mediocre 2015-16, his decline was underway by then. He was genuinely quite good in 2017. Reverted to **** this year.
