Always takes the big and vital wickets at the right time though. Has been very consistent.True, but no 5-fer which i find interesting.

So? Is there a criteria that says he has to to earn MOTS? Leading wicket taker at 17 runs a piece. Gets all the big wickets at the right times. Definitely a contender, however if Ponting goes well again here he'll certainly get it.But hasn't really run through England.
He has. You just haven't realized it.But hasn't really run through England.
Howard's been in the commentary box about a dozen times in the past. Nothing new about it.That has to be a first having a Prime Minister in the commentatory box. Expect some rant from Kevin Rudd now and if he were in the country, and the same from Mr Wright...
That'd be because Ponting is still treating him like the 4th best bowler. So Lee, Warne and McGrath are being favoured to clean up the tail.. and with the way the English tail have batted, they have always done so fairly quickly...True, but no 5-fer which i find interesting.
Still a second innings to come, mind you...Clark not having a 5-fer will definetly go against him in terms of claiming MOTS, and the fact that he hasn't really run through the line-up.
dittoJeez, heart jumped for a second with Hussey there. Typical Lawry over-excitement.
I think Warne has been lucky on occasion to not get done for it, especially considering what Lee had to pay up for.How about Panesars appealing? He's nearly worse than Warne. Lee got charged for dissent for less than that. Panesar always charges down the pitch as if he has the wicket before the umpire even decides.
