When will Kohli and Bumrah then?

He is 19 he is allowed some slack. They are senior pros acting like petulant kids.
Nah don't give me that. He's an adult, he can drink and join the army. He needs to shut the **** up. Or he doesn't and he is doing it to rattle them which is fine too. Either way, he is responsible for his behavior and can't hide behind this excuse. Being young doesn't automatically equal being a douchebag - do what you wan't and act how you want. But you can't act like a dick and then whine when someone does something back to you as they would another adult. Time to grow the **** up.

(and not that he himself is whining - but this whining by other people who are excusing his behavior).

He has only acted up after Kohli deliberately barged into him when he hadn't done anything wrong at the time.

I don't blame him for winding them up as he can see they are taking the bait too easily.

Fine. I actually don't care. But the fact that he is 19 has nothing to do with that. He acted the way he did because he wanted to, he needed to, he had a strategy to do so, because he was a victim, because he wanted to be an aggressor, because he wanted to rattle them, he wanted to be a dick...whatever. But other people making excuses due to his age is nonsense. If it was my son, I'd slap the **** out of him if he ever used being 19 as an excuse for acting like a ****. Again, not that Sam himself is using his age as an excuse, so this is not against the man himself. But at this point he needed to be treated like the adult he is by his teammates, by his opponents, by the media, and by the fans.

Really exciting for the punters to see Konstas ‘getting under the Indians skin’. Now he just needs to score some runs today.

haha...As you`re holding younger players accountable for actions, what did you make of the conga-line of Betas that attempted to menace Konstas after Khawaja`s failure?
I think they should have pelted him with soap sock for acting like a little ****. Either he will learn a lesson, or he'll think his tactics are successful and worthwhile and he'll keep doing it. Even though I think he is acting like a ****, I actually don't have that much of a problem with it per see. There are lots of shits around in professional sports, of varying degrees. He is no different. I have a problem with fans and media that treats him with kid gloves and excuses.

But guess what - they are also responsible for their own behaviors as well, good and bad, because you know, that's what adults do. Not whatever the hell this weird psychotic infantilization is about treating a grown man's action like a six-year-old child.

It was interesting to see the Indian bowlers lose it against him after one ball

Their pitch map in that short period was terrible

Having said that, he’s playing a very low % game and the chances of it coming off regularly are pretty remote unless he dials it back somewhat

Yeah definitely, agree with all of that. The bowlers need to keep their head in the game. Let Kohli and the other close in field have a contest with him, while they need to just focus on bowling right. Unless he is a once in a lifetime talent, his tactics are not going to come off on a regular basis. And if he is indeed that talent, then well done to him and he'll be fun to watch for the next decade.

When something as amazing (yea,I said it) as this happens on a test cricket field, the world oftentimes pause and take notice.

Cricket has villains and heroes and of boy do we love a great story. An epic.

Back in the day, this story would have been narrated differently…but the core of it in this modern day is being stripped away as if hyenas are feasting on it.

It’s a sad state of affairs when we are looking at the hyenas, who as they are satiating themselves look up at us and say, “we run things”— through their eyes.

Spunk of youth
Immaturity
Thin skinned

What we should remember (and hopefully them players) that as they walk off the field, that whatever differences they have stay there. Spirit of the game is paramount.

The Aussies always need a pantomime villain. Warner's gone, Smith's too much of a weed to be too dislikeable. I've no issue Konstas giving it if he's scoring runs. With Kohli, it seems he's more tiresomely petulant the worse he's playing.

Well I’m already at work and will be til after days play closes. Hoping Konstas or Smith or even Head can pull out a quality knock - Bumrah really worries me based on the pitch.

We're off shopping this morning, so I am going to miss Konstas batting again. Unless, of course, he pulls off a 2-3 hour epic.

2-3 hours is a long time for young kids to pay attention.

I'm not sure what the big deal is.

End of the day, they only lost Khawaja who always seemed vulnerable against Bumrah.

Day could have ended far worse for Australia.
It’s actually pretty cool that both instances of attempted time wasting yesterday saw each team lose a wicket right before a break. Bit of divine intervention imo

We don’t doctor wickets . We make the spinners irrelevant so much that in a 5 match Test series , 3 spinners with nearly 1400 Test wkts don’t have even combined 15 wkts to show .
This was very much the case imo with a few of the pitches in some Indian home series in recent times. I remember a lot of chat on here about how the pitches made the likes of Kuhnemann as effective as Ashwin and Jadeja and everyone thought they were mental for prepping them that way

There’s too much deification of groundsmen imo. Happens here a lot for some weird reason, like they’re ****ing medieval alchemists or sorcerers. They’re green keepers ffs.

Due to lack of censorship, Twitter has turned into a minefield of mentally ******** posters .
Few days ago many Americans were asking Indians staying in India to return to India because we have taken their Tech jobs .
Ignore these people. Twitter has become a joke nowadays. Only reason I go there is because there are some funny and great posters there too 😊
Why did you steal their jobs though? Seems to me you have questions to answer here
