lmao what the **** was Gill thinking just on the stroke of lunch
He was genuinely faffing the whole of that over, doing gardening to try to avoid an extra over being bowled.

I suppose he ultimately succeeded

That really spoiled it for India. Another sub 200 score on the cards though Australia haven't been 100 percent in their bowling.

Brook and Root will be licking their lips watching these throwdowns from Webster. Yes he’s bowling good lines but the saviours of test cricket don’t care for that.
Don't worry Marsh will be back in the team by then. And anyone who doesn't agree doesn't understand the power of true bromance.

Absolutely ridiculous shot though - especially for a number three. Pant can perhaps have a little bit of an excuse (not much of one) but a top order batter should be able to weather periods of low scoring without losing his bind....

Another guy, like Rahul, with loads of talent who seems to be wasting it. Both of these guys average mid-30s, and it's absolutely ridiculous.

Also in addition to Green, I expect Jhye, Lance Morris, Neser , all to be fit and ready to for the Ashes if Starc/Hazlewood are not fit. Morris bowls 145-150kph, and Jhye bowls 140kph. Xavier Bartlett could be also a consideration - the X Man he bowls 140kph. The Xman got 4/10 just on 1st of Jan in a BBL game. Hes very good. Joel Paris is also a consideration as he is left arm like Starc, and a very good red ball bowler.

Anyone who bowls over 135kph is in consideration.

Didn't you make a few posts last week saying you thought he'd never play again?
I rechecked, hes still aiming for next Ashes to be fit. Hes having surgery to fix his issue, so it wont happen again. 12 months sideline is fair(from tests), occasional T20/Limited overs may start in a few months.

The problem here is the tendency to equate 'talent' solely with playing nice looking shots. Shot selection, defence and discipline are just as important.

The X man bowls around 130k and would still be in consideration

He also clearly has an issue to anything full and straight. Can't really have a watertight technique if you struggle with those
