Little bit worried about what is going to happen when Australia start bowling well tbh. Far too many balls in the first hour able to be let go. Clark will go fair gun on this

Cook was out, it came off the toe of the bat. Clark's not only been Oz's best bowler, been best in the series.

Anyway i sent an email to sky before after Bumble commented on the weather being Manchester like, telling them it hasn't rained all day in Manchester and we would have started on time if it was Old Trafford.

Good question, where has Clark been till now? I don't think Ponting has been a big fan of Clarks. I thought he was definatly under-bowled in the first couple of Tests. The Aus selectors the last couple of years have been a bit slow in making team changes, IMO. Think they've placed too much importance on team stability at the expense of dropping out-of-form players. In 2005 Hussey showed enough in the ODI's before the tests to gain a spot over Katich for example, but was left out. Gillespie was clearly having a shocking run. (of course easy in hindsight, but watching 2005 on tv i was thinking it then)
Even this series. I'm a fan of Haydon, he's proven himself over a long time, but on form, Jacqes (forgive my spelling please) did enough pre-series for me.
We've seen it coming for a few years, now we have to be very careful not to repeat the problems we had when Lillie, Marsh and Chappel retired. But will we....

Clark's domestic record hardly screams out and says pick me. Most of Australia were surprised that he proved he was even vaguely useful at test level.

Really great ball he got it with too. One of his best in recent times.
Funny that Lee's getting the breaks today and has his best figures for the Ashes. His first spell was one of his poorer ones for the whole series and he came out of it okay. Second spell before tea was very good, though.
McGrath was just unplayable this morning. I really thought England did pretty well to get to lunch safely, and before those two quick wickets they were ahead post-lunch too. Australia's session in the end, though.
