Pretty sure they've all been (dead) roads here since the 2010/11 Ashes, when there was a bit in it first morning and the game wound up being all over by the end of the first day.

Even for Shield cricket, it doesn't really break up that much at all. When they left extra grass on it, you might get a smaller first innings score but the second innings you couldn't take enough wickets to get a result.

Reckon Tom Curran’s slower balls have been more dangerous spin deliveries than anything Moeen has bowled.

This and Brisbane have been the worst by far. Perth at least had bounce so fast scoring was possible. Adelaide did a bit for the bowlers. They really need to leave more grass on the pitch here given how it flattens out and doesn’t break up. Give he bowlers something Day one.

Even old Adelaide was a grind, but you worked towards a day five result and things usually happened there late in the game. This has just got slower and flatter without breaking up. It’s a terrible wicket.

But yesterday Mark Taylor was saying he didn’t think the pitch was as bad as others were suggesting. Is it mandatory if a CA board member that you can’t ever criticise an Oz pitch ever?

Obviously I understand it’s not a perfect science etc, but it must have been invested in and experimented with.

They get some cover whenever there's a result. Even when there was a draw against India, it was put down to how good Kohli and Smith were batting, and a bit of Smith's captaincy, rather than the wicket.
