Because selectors be selectors. Don't forget Phil Hughes was a great prodigy too. And the selectors and Ponting and Langer instead of backing him dropped him after literally one difficult game, and then tried to make him play differently (and replaced him with Watson!). Which was totally stupid and a waste. Which probably contributed to their overall decline. Hughesy could have definitely made a difference he was that good. Hopefully this lad gets backed for a lot longer if he has this much talent and confidence.

You could see that wicket coming with how Konstas was struggling against Jadeja, India probably wish they had got him on earlier.
