**Official** 4th Test at Melbourne, 26-30 Dec 2024

This is beyond ridiculous now. Selectors may have handed the series to India by constantly selecting their fanboy Marsh at #6. He's scored 20 runs @ 4.00 in his last 3 Tests

Series: 6, 47, 9, 5, 2, 4, 0

Jaiswal son, what has Kohli done to you?
You might be able to blame Kohli for Jaiswal's run out but blaming him for his dropped catches is going a bit far.

Hard to believe I'm the only defending Kohli here, he might be a selfish flog that is past his best but he's still contributed more in this series than Rohit.

It's understandably completely forgotten now because of what ended up happening, but he played a similarly vital innings to this one when the team was in all sorts in the third innings at Headingley 2019.
Yeah the result inevitably dictates how it's perceived. He's also had a few where his effort in stabilising things through a tough period get overshadowed by a more memorable knock.

TBF that wouldn't be too difficult given Rohit has contributed NOTHING

Yeah it’s now at the point where he genuinely can’t be picked for Sydney unless he somehow picks up five wickets in the last dig here in a winning cause

bit disappointed that marnus is getting runs bc he looks just dreadful early in the innings, legitimately is a punish to watch lol) albeit looking a lot better now. huge effort from captain pat to come in and bring some energy and aggression to the batting and lead by example i think. but putting all that aside (and also the incredible ton by nitish yesterday, about which i haven’t commented yet), bumrah man, just so very incredible. it’s been a real privilege to watch some of the aussie teams we’ve had over the years but this india team is a privilege too; several changings of the guard but been absolute challengers on oz soil.

you’d have to say advantage aus with where the game is now but you absolutely can’t count india out and all four results are still on the cards tbqh

Lehmann, Stuart Clark and others are saying that he won’t be dropped unless Australia lose here and even then probably not

Marsh family must have photos

Gotta feeling Australia are going to accelerate really hard from here. Give an hour or so for their bowlers to bowl at India's top order and get a couple of early wickets

Seems to me if Marnus somehow gets to a hundred than Aus will likely have enough. And extra 50-60 will be a pretty tough chase batting last

Here’s Jasprit to have something to say about that
