**Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

Whatever it takes!!!
Does make all the conjecture over what Australia could/couldn't have done totally academic at this point. You're never winning any game of cricket in which three days get washed out.
There is the second test when Bangladesh came to India in September. It was not even a rough wicket. Somehow we just hustled them into a loss lol.

That had a full day on Day 5 though. When Days 3 through 5 get affected so much even after losing basically the first day, there's no hope - Australia couldn't well have declared on 300 assuming that they had to win in two and a half days effectively, they had to bat through 400.

I agree but I meant a result in 2 days play or so. Either way, its such an outlier you cant expect it to happen at all.

On another note, my comment on McSweeney seemed to have a lot of responses. I just meant he looks good enough to be a regular starter in this line up for the foreseeable future. Needs to be seen how he plays spin in the SC but he has shown enough to be worth an investment as opener or #3.

Australia also lucked out with the Haze injury happening in this kind of a game IMO. Had there been no bad weather AND Haze injured, it may have been much more different and difficult for Aus.

Anyways, we are lucky to be going in 1-1 given how bad we have been in the last two tests. Hopefully these guys do some serious work and play and fight hard in Melbourne esp. with the ball. I dont see too many changes, maybe Ashwin for NKR and that is about it. :(

Yeah I was seriously worried about what would happen if we did enforce the follow on barely and Cummins and Starc bowled themselves into the ground. The bowlers getting physically exhausted by the latter half of the series has been a huge factor in the last two series down here, it's vital that they avoid a repeat.

This run thorugh of 50 of Warne's wickets is trerrific to watch but jeez it shows you how brillaintly served he was by Healy and Gilchrist. Some of their work behind the stumps to him was insane.

Didn’t stop him from complaining about Gilchrist. But yeah, he certainly had great support.
