Well done Australia - The Urn Returns.

If they can find another middle order batsman of Smith's level (or a little below, because let's face it, there aren't many of those knocking about), they will have a good chance of retaining it in England. I think Hazlewood is going to clean up over there next time.

Smith's level is way too high to aim at. We need to go back to 1940s to find someone as good.

Reckon how we fare in England depends on who their bowlers are. If no Anderson and Broad England's bowling looks very weak to me.

The main issue though is that Smith seems to struggle in swinging conditions.

Everyone does. If he sets his mind up like he did before playing spin in India, he'll be great in England as well next time around.

Congrats Australia, its going to be tough for the Proteas next year.

But can someone explain does actual science work differently in England, whats Michael Vaughn on about, that is not a young English side

Well done Australia. Would love to say something insightful but don’t have it in me right now. Disappointed for sure though from a lot of perspectives. Typical English reaction I would guess.

All very familiar. Not nearly as depressing as last time around, feels like a pre-2005 tour to me.

My only concern with the way this has gone is Smith doing to Cummins what Waugh did to Lee.

It's basically an admission that without Jimmy England will transition from mediocre to rubbish.

Cummins has got so much to go before he's extracting the pace from this action and got the matches under the belt. This bowling is good for him imo, needs to bank
