Can't see the Poms chasing even a moderate total in the 2nd innings.

They need a substantial (150+) lead in the 1st innings.

The game hangs on what score England make. To really capitalise on getting Aus for 244, surely 100+ is in order to put pressure on Aus. Can't see Australia getting any less than 300 in their second innings and that lead will knock a huge chunk out of the runs required total.

England to make 280-320, Lee & Clark being the main wicket-takers, and Australia 2 fer 70-100 at stumps (Haydos & Langer the men out)

Based on what? Panesar hardly got any spin (it's not like he's a slow-medium bowler like Giles) and Australia managed to lose 5 wickets to him - the pitch will take turn as it wears, Harmison knows this is his pitch which generally means he'll take 4 wickets at least per innings without too much bother.

What was wrong with it?
Thought it was a tad high tbh. Just don't get how they can give that yet not give Hussey's v Monty which looked more out.
Good day's play though - shows what a bit in the wicket does for the game. That over of Clark's to Collingwood was unbelieveable to a bloke coming off 200 last week.
Anyone notice McGrath's pace up into mid-130s yesterday. When he got Cook, I thought I was watching a replay of Cook's dismissals earlier in the series. Tipping he'll be getting plenty of the same for the rest of the series.
Hopefully, England will cntine to attack today which will set up a great game.

I woke up 10 mins prior to play, damn. Oh well England better score some runs here today

Australian batting innings not looking so bad anymore and Hussey's exploits even more impressive.

Close one that, probably wouldn't have been out.

The best thing is, when one of McGrath and Clark come off, we have Lee to come on and kill people. :D
