Far better player than Shane (sob, sob) Watson anywayBurgey said:I thought Symond's approach was ok. It's the first time I've really seen him play his natural game in a test. If he was feeling uncomfortable, at least he responded by attacking, which he has failed to do in the past. His alternative was to poke and prod around before getting out in any event.
The approach Symonds took today was positive. Had England taken a similar approach last week on day 5, they may have scored enough to get away with the game.
What was wrong with it?Monty's bowling well, as we knew he would. Harmison much improved, but spare me that lbw v Ponting - shades of some of the 05 decisions there.
In ODI's, in test Watto clearly has more potential to be succesful in the ``all-rounder`` role.Fiery said:Far better player than Shane (sob, sob) Watson anyway
Can't agree. Very average cricketer, Shane Watson, and directly responsible for the retirement of one of the best batsmen to watch in the game.aussie said:In ODI's, in test Watto clearly has more potential to be succesful in the ``all-rounder`` role.
How about sticking to stuff you know about then? Watson has been in great form domestically, and good form for Australia.Fiery said:Can't agree. Very average cricketer, Shane Watson
Because idiot Aleem (I give England paceman LBW's on balls which pitch a foot outside leg and are going over but I gave Warne nothing) has been drafted in to even things up.Burgey said:Harmison much improved, but spare me that lbw v Ponting - shades of some of the 05 decisions there.
.
What`s your problem? He got out against a bad ball, you agree with me and insult me. Make up your mind.greg said:Come off it - he was all at sea against Panesar batting 'properly' and his 'counterattack' was almost desperation. Once you get in that mode, the fact that he got himself out to a bad ball is par for the course.
I'm 36 and know more about cricket than anything else in life...and stand by my opinionNnanden said:How about sticking to stuff you know about then? Watson has been in great form domestically, and good form for Australia.
Stop flame-baiting. Why do you keep coming back?Merv said:Because idiot Aleem (I give England paceman LBW's on balls which pitch a foot outside leg and are going over but I gave Warne nothing) has been drafted in to even things up.
Meet me, who knows way too much about Australian cricket. Why do you think Watson is crap?Fiery said:I'm 36 and know more about cricket than anything else in life...and stand by my opinion
You're the one flame-baiting Nintendo. Everyone's allowed their opinion cobberNnanden said:Stop flame-baiting. Why do you keep coming back?
I never said he was crap, just a poor imitation of a world-class allrounder which is something Australia have failed to produce since Keith Miller. Mind you I grew up watching Hadlee, Botham, Dev, Khan, Cairns etc.Nnanden said:Meet me, who knows way too much about Australian cricket. Why do you think Watson is crap?
Haha, why Nintendo? I`m not angry at you by any means. This guy has been banned twice for flame-baiting, and has started a third account. You`ve been away, and I don`t blame you for not knowing.Fiery said:You're the one flame-baiting Nintendo. Everyone's allowed their opinion cobber
I'm not flame bating, I'm telling it how it is. Dar's bias for fast bowlers and in particular England one's.Nnanden said:Stop flame-baiting. Why do you keep coming back?
He`s been in good batting and great bowling form though. It`s extremely unlikely he`ll go down as a great player, but he`s done extremely well lately. What makes you think he won`t do well?Fiery said:I never said he was crap, just a poor imitation of a world-class allrounder which is something Australia have failed to produce since Keith Miller.
