Spark: Hmm that could do more damage to the pitch than things that are more explicitly against the rules.

HB: But it's not explicitly against the rules.

Such a typical online exchange. You're just talking past each other.

The Rahane referral and the Rohit played a shot were both atrocious calls. Totally fair to blame the umps there.
There was a time when you would take an odd bad decision in your stride. But these days with DRS it's very embarrassing to get 2 such poor calls.

I’ve literally never seen ‘one of those’ in my life and thought it was out. Pure guesswork as to whether he’s 1mm in front of or behind.

I’m also aware 98% of people think those ones are always out ?‍♂

Whatever it takes!!!
Rohit has been very careless with dragging his frontfoot all along. I dont think the other two referrals were clearly out, so the decisions were fair but he was a bit lucky coz it seemed like a frame between being clearly out and getting the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully this wakes him up when playing these shots next time.

Pujara was very unlucky but by the new rules, had he gotten his bat past the line and THEN, let go of it, he would not have been out, right?
