"Viewers who have shelled out large sums to watch on Sky Sports in the UK are still unaware of the toss because the producers are so determined to keep mark Nicholas off the screen ... he works for a rival channel. Pettiness ahead of public service. Get a life guys"

Didn't realise that was why we didn't see the toss, sort it out Sky

That's possibly the two worst renditions of a national anthem I've ever heard. Out of time, out of tune, out of key - you'd think that if they insist on the national anthems they'd get someone who can sing.

They over killed it looking for a number 1.

You can see the footmarks at the end Brett Lee is bowling from after one over. Obviously a very dry pitch. Lucky that isn't not going to be all that hot, or it could fall to bits.

Will still come apart after 3 or 4 days you'd imagine, great toss to win. England need at least 400 batting first.

Eh, without Panesar, can they take 20 wickets? I have a feeling they might miss him on the 4th and 5th days.
No we have Giles who will turn it square and Harmison to keep the pressure on with accurate bowling. :surrender

McGrath draws the edge from Strauss, drops short of 3rd Slip Langer. Fine start from both bowlers.
