wonder if there will be any criticism in the Aussie papers about this
I don't really think anyone is impressed with this (Radio/TV/paper), it goes against the way Australia play.

The fact remains England are 1-0 down and need to be looking to win not draw.

If i was Pietersen i'd be having words with Warne, just to tease him into bowling properly.

Also, I know he's old and all, but by now surely Warne should have tried the wrongun.
Yeah it was in the News of the World apparently.

England have no right to complain about anything negative or boring. They bored the pants off me for most of the day yesterday.

It's their fault they were too scared to play any shorts at first and looked like frightened rabbits for so long. Now they might just regret employing such a safety first mentality.

I thought Pietersen was supposed to be so exciting and attacking? Just because Warne's doing this doesn't mean he has to be so boring himself. Is he just looking after his own, personal interests by not taking any risks? It's England who have to force the issue here.

This is silly, I really don't think warne will stop and KP is making no runs, he is to engrossed with not letting warne beat him.

Yep, he's selfish and full of his own self importance. he's not a team man.

I wouldn't go that far, every player has a weakness that can be exploited, and his is that he does not want to get out to warne.

Engalnd scored at neck end of 3 runs an over mate on day 1 on slow pitch with a slow outfield. I wouldn't call KP's batting yesterday safety first at all. If you didn't enjoy yesterdays cricket I suggest you follow another sport.

A true great like Tendulkar had enough confidence in his game to go after Giles when he employed the same tactic for a while.

This is evidence as to why Pietersen will never be in his class. He's a boring batsman.

He was not boring when he was attacking Pigeon this morning.

But atm KP is more concerned about warne getting him out than making runs and getting on with it so his team actually have a shot at winning the match.

There's a difference. Giles doesn't turn it and Warne does. This is a joke what Warne is doing, and I get the feeling KP will get out to it.

I didn't say pietersen was safety first yesterday did I?

It was Bell and Collingwood who wasted hours on end because they were ****ting bricks for the majority of the day. When Australia did bowl over the wicket all they wanted to do was block it, so boots on the other foot now isn't it?

The only reason the rate ended up as that is because Pietersen eventually came in and upped it to make up for Bell and Collingwoods ineptitude.

What are you on about? If Pietersen was to play a sweep shot or a big slog and go out then the papers and Warne wouldn't let him live it down and Andrew Flintoff would have to come in and try and establish himself before scoring some runs, as far as I'm concerned Pietersen is doing the right thing and not throwing his wicket away. Warne is being negative and I've seen it often enough from him to suggest that he feels Pietersen has beaten him.

Did he? 24 runs off 83 balls, 6 runs off 21 balls , 35 runs off 112 balls.

Then "KP" obviously has a glaring weakness in his game doesn't he?

I suggest he gets to work in the nets to figure out how to use his bat to it, because at it stands Warne is abiding by the laws of the game and exploiting KP's lack of ability in this particular scenario.
