Bull**** did you see the 2014-16 seasonsCurrent batting approach will help. More cautious.
This series is so far dispelling the notion that Australia produces roads and it’s so easy to score runs here. Hasn’t been that way since the late 2000s or thereabouts once the drought ended.
Ffs Starc, bowl a Yorker.
I'd enforce the follow-on. Bowlers won't be tired and its a great chance to crush England completely. Otherwise Broad (or Anderson) could swing it like Trent Bridge and be able to take something positive from this match.
HehI would bat here again and just punish England like a ill mannered step son
Wouldn't happen unless they bowl the right length and there's no indication there will be an attempt to do so.Otherwise Broad (or Anderson) could swing it like Trent Bridge and be able to take something positive from this match.
When Australia made over its whole batting line up after getting shot out for **** all vs SA?Bull**** did you see the 2014-16 seasons

Being number 1 right now in world cricket means that the scheduling has fallen in your favour and you're a decent side.Isn't that true of all nations - Aus has won a single match vs India and lost or drawn every away/neutral match in Asia outside Bangladesh, England have won 0, SA have won 1, NZ (of all teams) have won 2. Even against Bangladesh these teams could not win and drew their series (SA at least had rain interruptions although they conceded a lead, Aus/Eng lost matches). Not to mention the fact that they keep losing home matches/series to each other (and England to everyone).
India is the only team to have won series against ALL teams in their last series in India. So India has a home record rivaling the greatest teams of all time (20-1 since the 2012 England defeat) and an away record which although not very good is still better than others means India is definitely the no 1 team and the best team.
As far as playing against the second best subcontinent team there are political reasons for that and considering the fact that the same SL team we just whitewashed away and are beating now just whitewashed Pakistan in their fortress is there any doubt where we stand in regards to that Pakistan team. People might say Misbah/Younis etc but they have retired and we are talking of now.
Being no 1 means being better than the others, doesn't mean being an 80s Windies or a 00's Australia.
If India do well in the next two years it does not cement India as the best team currently (which it already is) but one of the best teams of all time.
That is literally the only series in the last few years which didn't have roads. When Australia made over its whole batting line up after getting shot out for **** all vs SA?
There were other tests during that time period. When Australia made over its whole batting line up after getting shot out for **** all vs SA?
And this one so far? That is literally the only series in the last few years which didn't have roads.
Yes we look pretty fragile with the bat, I’d get us straight back in and pepper those weaknesses. Aussies batting again just takes time out of this game for us to try and somehow hang out for the draw.If I was in your shoes I'd enforce it also. England could have 40 batsmen here and they'd still be no closer to threading a partnership together and getting close to this Australian score.
