Varun Aaron trending across India. How cruel. He's got some problems, needs help getting line and length right, and can be a very productive bowler (and has even broken a potentially match-winning partnership) when in top form, but fans are cruel. I hope he doesn't lose his place in the side permanently, the way Mishra and Pankaj have been outed, much as I still back Pankaj and benched Pandey over him.

Just how costly will those 20 overs be, when Anamul and Mushy scored over a hundred, under no pressure? The Indians need to chuck the economy rate objective down the tubes and opt for wicket-taking options in the middle-overs, if they have to halt their current losing streak.

Dinesh Karthik has been poor behind the stumps, with one drop, one missed stumping and four byes under his legs. Let's just hope he can get back to being the single best gloveman in the country and not someone in the same lump as Saha, Patel and Maninder Bisla.

Better than Ishant, simply because he doesn't sleepwalk in a game. Definitely worth the dollops of chances that Ishant, Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar and an off-colour Ashwin have got.

Shami in a honeymoon phase. Third wicket in the game. Very impressive returns so far, with 44 wickets in 26 games.
