Population doesn't count for **** when you have that staggering amount of poverty in the country along with malnutrition, corruption and poor infrastructure. People who trot out the population remarks out are absolutely clueless and it pisses me off so much.
Yeah there's a big difference between the population and the number of people with access to means required to develop their cricketing skills to their full potential.

Are you out of your mind? Bangladesh's population is less than Pakistan. It is not even close to 1/5th of India's

@Scaly......there isn't really much difference in physicality between Indians and Pakistanis. It is about role models. It wasn't a coincidence that express fast bowlers only started emerging after Imran became the biggest celebrity in Pakistan's history.
I disagree with you. Indians and Pakistanis have quite different physical features espeically compared to those in Northern Pakistan who have mixed influences from Afghanistan due to a enormous Pashtun (Afghani people) population there..

Even if I thought that these physical features were a massively significant factor (rather than just a general trend), there have been plenty of excellent fast bowlers who've defied the expectations in terms of physique.

Live update of scores delayed by a few minutes/3-4 overs.
oic thanks for that..i was wondering what was going on with that but was out and about and checking score via phone so thought my mobile internet signal was weak hence the slow updates...

Except for Imran and Umar Gul (who is quite ordinary) all the Pak fast bowlers have been from Punjab (the really quick ones). Waqar, Wasim, Shoaib, Zahid, Wahab. All these guys could bowl really quick and they did not hail from northern Pakistan.

On topic what was misbah thinking when he decided to field after winning the toss?

never really understood the Gul hate tbh. Pretty admirable bowler. Not a world beater but pretty dependable.

Yes I remember how great he was in the world cup semi-final opening against Sehwag and bowling leg side all the time and going for 4 4s in the over
