If Morris ever gets a chance to play hooker again, he will come good. His just not really good enough to play halfback or 5/8.

he's an ok 5/8 with a good halfback inside him, theres no way he is a play maker though...

Johns has officially retired. I'll probably post a big fat tribute post in here later unless Clapo does first. :p

Joey, what a great player. Could do things on the footy field that other men couldn't even dream about.

BARNES OUT
Such a **** way for a great to go out. Would have been so much more appropriate for him to go out in either the finals or the last round, being carried off the ground by his teammates.

about time really, not all that concerned that he's gone there are at least half a dozen better players than him now and have been for the past year...

Are you ever positive about anything related to the NRL Simon? You just seem like such a cynicist.

Yeah, he said that Seymour was better than Premier League standard once. That was positive, I suppose, even though it was completely wrong IMO.

being a knights fan it is sad to see him go out this way. would have been good to see him out at energy australia with his buddys on the field.

i guess channel 9 will snap him up for the footy show and everything else...

What a player. Along with Lewis, best I've seen and from those who have seen past greats, compares well with all of the immortals of yesteryear. Another bloody legend I've missed taking my young bloke to see play. 1st Warne retires before I had the chance to take him to the cricket, now Joey with Rugby League.
Even with this injury, he'd still be good enough to play international rugby union though.

There has never been a guy more over-rated than him in rugby league IMO. No-one would even know who he was if he didn't have such a strange name. Hate the whole side tbh.
What is it you hate about them? That they poached Ryan Hoffman or Danny Williams king-hit (even I never wanted him to play a game again, only that Super League clubs are so desperate for anybody from Australia and New Zealand) or something else?

The fact that there are several better areas to have a rugby league club and the fact that several of their players are really over-rated. Strange time for you to dig that though!

Well I guess you can say that about a lot of clubs tbh. You've seen how much Phil Gould jacked off about Tim Smith when he came into first grade and a whole lot of other players.

------

Re the Johns retirement, it is said to see him go like that, I certainly remember him craving up Queensland in the last two Origin games in 2005 (tbf some of the Queensland selections were written on a piece of paper and some darts through at it) and thought 'wow'. That said it wasn't a surprise that he quit, it was almost expected.

------

Another question I have, surely any team that pays Joel Clinton 350k will be played for chums? I would say he is worth at least 100k less then that.
