The average Indian vegetarian diet has **** all protein.

Unless you're making a conscious attempt at meeting your requirements you'll struggle. And that's if you're convinced you need to meet them anyways - the general understanding of nutrition is awful. Getting better though.
Yeah, younger upper middle class kids are tall af.

What would be the typical indian vegetarian staple meals?

Of what I saw when I visited seemed to be plenty of relatively high protein legumes, the bigger issue was all the ghee and salt. But I don't know what's typical and I was only in delhi, jaipur, mumbai etc.

don't think it'll break, jeez, something must've been done to the pitch on the night of day one, I've seen some bad pitches like this in NZ but from 17 wickets in first 3 sessions to....4 wickets in next 4 is crazy
Isn't this what a good test pitch should be? Tough to bat on Day 1, then good to bat on Day 2 and Day 3 and then tougher to bat on Day 4 and Day 5.

Whatever it takes!!!
They should bat into tomorrow
If they can... Remember this is a side that has lollapsed more than most sides in the past 5 years. 36, 46, and a few more less than 100 scores. They can very well lollapse now for a less than 400 chase for Aus.

And again, givne how brittle even our bowling is outside of Bumrah, I wont be confident with a 400 chase for Aus. It maybe because of how bad we were against NZ but I am darn pessimistic of any chances we may have here.

1) Plenty of rice, a bit of daal (usually a small cup with maybe enough for 5g of protein) and some sort of vegetable dish

2) Dosa with sambar, chutney etc, maybe with potatoes

3) Chappati with 1-2 vegetable dishes

Paneer/curd etc as well a few times a week
