You need lessons in cultural sensitivity, Burgey :censored:
If I’m an India fan I’m culturally sensitive about the skipper fronting up to their biggest away series rather than some stupid ritual where they call his kid what he and his wife already call it. Come on ffs. It’s not 84AD and you’re worried about the wrath of the ****ing gods. Get with it ffs.

This is genuinely awful. I mean it. How can he expect blokes to front up and bust their arses for him when he’s staying home so his kid can be named? Actually, it’s beyond awful

It’s shameful. Bumrah deserves some stick too for missing a test to get married.

Biggest away series?
It is an easy away series where their C team won last time. Their biggest away series is to the country where they've only won 1 test since 1976.

Jurel looked the best of the next set in the A games by a long long way. Actually looked confident and technically well equipped for the conditions.
He's a much better keeper than Pant and actually makes a case on batting alone anyway. Letting Pant focus on being a counter-attacking #5 or #6 would be great for India IMO, especially after his accident.

I massively rate him. I'd even legitimately consider him for my World XI at the moment.

@kyear2 would enjoy this post

Yeah I think relieving Pant of keeping duties would serve them extremely well. As already said Jurel looks like a class act.

Only problem with that is it puts his fat, round arse out in the field

Also good for India to train in secret, given in the international cricket world no one knows how anyone bats or bowls. They’ll really have the element of surprise

If Sharma isn’t available is he the most likely to play with everyone else moving up a spot, or do you reckon they’ll pick Rahul?
Current word from the secret WACA camp is Rahul has an injured elbow batting and Gill has a fractured thumb fielding at slip (are Sharma, Rahul and Gill out of 1st Test?)
