Good decision to scrap the India vs India A warm up game at the WACA 😆

Cricinfo: "India are set for a tough initiation in Australian conditions on an Optus Stadium pitch expected to resemble the famous fiery characteristics of the nearby WACA ground"

Curator is expecting/hoping for the match to go into day 5.

So expect a bouncy road with some movement initially on day 1 and cracks late on. Nothing much otherwise.

Yeah Cowan saying McSweeney is just a guess from selectors as here are his scores going in early against new ball (within first 10 overs)

“He has two scores over 50 – 53 and 67 against NSW. Here are his other scores: 22, 32, 10, 0, 12, 48, 36, 15, 20, 25, 11, 0, 7 and 0,” Cowan said on the ABC

I don't think Doggett is anywhere near frankly, he wasn't on anyone's radar before the A game, so I'm not quite sure where you're getting that from. O'Neill I think is just a bit too slow to be taken seriously by the selectors; I actually think they'd turn to Sean Abbott before either of them.
If the selectors would pick a fit Bartlett (whose hardly rocket) or even adopt Starfighter's recommendation of Paris, then just how slow is O'Neill?

Given that Cummins will play all 5 they may rest one of Haze or Starc at Melbourne and give Boland a game. Perhaps Bartlett could get a game in Brisbane that way.

Nah, if as is likely we’re 3-0 up, he can have a breather in Melbourne and turn his mind to the important upcoming SL series.

Has Ed enlightened us with his ideal selection for the spot?
