shhhhh gillespie has an unbeaten double century at chiitagongAnd **** this pitch seriously. I'd rather play in Chittagong
Should be a run penalty for not getting 90 overs in in 6 and a half hours, it should be comfortably doable in 6.One of those dismissals where you can't quite believe what's happened.
Utterly farcical if we don't get the full 90. Absolutely no reason not to get them in other than stupid rule making.
Theoretically i agree but what if the batting side have a Trott-style time wasterShould be a run penalty for not getting 90 overs in in 6 and a half hours, it should be comfortably doable in 6.
Probably have taken that though before the days play. Well in the game and have a decent total on the board with potential to make it a good one if we bat well tomorrow morning.Typical "new England" day, terrible start, good recovery based on an innings by Root, along with spirited cameos and yet some silly dismissals to mean the match is still in the balance.
No problem if they decided it would be a 10 run penalty for every over short with umpires able to use discretion if the batsmen take the piss wasting time all day.Should be a run penalty for not getting 90 overs in in 6 and a half hours, it should be comfortably doable in 6.
Much of that is down to the fact that they were 3/50 and Australia bowled really, really poorly for most of the day. If you ignore the score then it'd certainly feel like England are well ahead. It really feels like England are further ahead than they actually are. Especially considering that the pitch is designed to help their batting at the expense of their bowlers.
We'll have to see tbh. If they bang it in short of the length which they can do they'll get milked all over the park, but they certainly won't bowl so much legside trash. Less likely to produce the sort of isolated wicket-taking deliveries that Starc produced though.Kind of agree, but you would expect them to bowl better than Australia, kind of fancy Broad on this pitch.
Wood might. We don't know enough about him yet though, looks useful so far.Less likely to produce the sort of isolated wicket-taking deliveries that Starc produced though.
Don't think that's really his style tbh.Wood might. We don't know enough about him yet though, looks useful so far.
Not if there's cloud there, which is fairly likely. We'll have to see tbh. I thought it was meant to be pretty sunny for the next few days. Not if there's cloud there, which is fairly likely.
Right now the forecast is for an overcast day 2 and sun for days 3 and 4.I thought it was meant to be pretty sunny for the next few days.
IE Jimmy to rip it up tomorrow and then England to rack up an insurmountable leadRight now the forecast is for an overcast day 2 and sun for days 3 and 4.
Fixed.IE Jimmy to rip it up tomorrow and then England to rack up an insurmountable lead
It's practically over. Australia might as well start thinking about Brisbane
