I was thinking keeping England to 250 odd here would leave a theoretically gettable target at the start of this innings. Still on the cards I guess.

England are playing well though. Really you need to start playing to your potential to even make it a contest.
Yeah one wonders whether they've been a bit complacent leading into this series. These teams are too evenly matched to get away with lazy cricket for long, let alone two days of it.

That we've bowled much better today just emphasises the fact - bit late now, guys.

EDIT: though England are doing themselves no favours in that regard

Lyon has acquitted himself really well in this match, probably the one bowler who can day so. Interesting given the way he was talked about pre-game (Moeen too ofc)

Still gone for a bit of tap though, compared to last 2 Ashes series where he has been just allowed to bowl.
