Big spell for Clouderson here. If he can jag one of these two it’ll open right up again

I do, particularly now BHP has shut down and the waterfront has been done up. Good beaches too.

Famous specialist captain Jason Floros acting as drinks carrier for the Australian team.

How the mighty just continue to rise.

All slightly disappointing now - looks like I slept through the good bit, something that often happens at my age

These commentators are really dumb if they think there is any possibility that Australia are going to use Mitchell Starc as a nigthwatchman for Tim Paine batting at no. 7

There's so much wrong with that. Bloody dumb.

I see Smith's average has nudged north of 60 again for the time. At what point can we legitimately question whether he's as good a bat as Ponting now the chap has played nearly 60 tests, averages 60 with 20 hundreds?

IIRC Ponting's peak was in the mid-2000s where his average reached 59 for a time.
If Smith continues on his way for another 2-3 years, I reckon that you can legitimately ask whether he is the 2nd best batsman in history

Fact is that he has averaged mid-60s since being selected as a specialist batsman 4 years ago

That is an incredible record

Yes it is bit it's not any better than stuff that Viv and Waugh did. That peakiest peaks thread is really interesting.
