Not sure why strikerate plays such a huge part. Both fast scorers (ie; Wilson) and slow scorers (Hakon) have their advantages.Loony BoB said:I'll use your batting, Dauth, as an example.
X - Rating - You rated second highest at the end of season ratings.
A - Average - You had the second best average at the end of the season.
R - Runs - You had the third most runs for the season.
S - Strike Rate - You had the eleventh best strike rate.
C - 50/100s - Using a system of 1 point for a 50, 2 points for a 100 and 4 points for a 200, you got 12 points, placing you second in the 50/100s department for the season.

Your average ranking was 4, as seen in the list above.
I believe that a good strike rate is a pretty important thing, actually, in today's game. And hey, I suffered 'cause of it, so it's not like it was a personal thing. When the only difference between two player's stats is that one scores fast, I go for the fast scorer as you're more likely to get a win, and I believe that's what every team should be aiming for.Robertinho said:Not sure why strikerate plays such a huge part. However, strike rate didn't make much difference to the overall order.
And the fact you got less runs and a worse average than I did for the season ...... that prolly had something to do with it tooNnanden said:Ha, all my dreams of making the batsmens list were dashed when I read that strike-rate thing.
That's strange.Jamee999 said:Most Dismissals

11 - JR Gray (Red) (9 c, 2st)
10 - XPA Rose (Green) (10 c)
I'm quietly confident...Nnanden said:Ha, all my dreams of making the batsmens list were dashed when I read that strike-rate thing.

I'm guessing Malone and Broadbent topped the runs and wickets.
