thats what i like to hear, hopefully the second will not be far away. how is senderos doing ?
All right. Got turned once by Kanoute, but got back to make a great tackle. If he'd mistimed in slightly it'd have been a pen.

Mike Riley has been uncharacteristically lenient. At least two tackles (one from Kelly on Pires & one from Fat Andy Riley on Lauren) should've brought yellows.

final score?
still 0-0 89 mins

Arsenal split the Spurs into two but didnt get another goal till now.

Keane claimed a handball but didnt get it in the 89th minute ..

All over. 1-0 to the good guys.

That actually felt like it mattered! The Premiership stays in North London til Saturday at least. :)

2nd or 3rd there's no meaningful difference between the two anyway. The FA Cup final is far more important.
The commentator was going all gaga over how getting automatic selection into the champions league by second place gives a few more weeks of practise instead of playing qualifying matches.

The only difference is 2 of the practice matches are now vaguely competitive, qualification games (well one of them will be at least) - what extra fatigue etc. there might be later on in the season is countered by the fact that the team should be a bit sharper when the proper games start.

I'd say there's a big difference.

The qualifying stages of the CL aren't an ideal place to warm up for the new season in.

Then I have no idea what you’re trying to prove (unless you’re trying to lose the argument).
Lose what??

You have left me dumbfounded and confused and I had no idea that this was an arguement.

A play-off with Everton perhaps?
Well, and call me insane if you must, but I always sorta thought of winning the Champions League as an ever-so-slightly bigger achievement than finishing 4th in the Prem.

But I'm weird like that! :D

I disagree - at least its competitive and not a meaningless friendly. That said I'd like 2nd, FA Cup comes first though.
