You know a good format for the odd-rounds of a draft would be to keep it free of order. Say Round 1 starts, and people begin making picks on the basis of who gets there first. So eventually everyone would have picked, and you get an order which you just reverse for the even rounds, which would be the same as they are right now. It's faster and equally fair.

It doesn't work for things like the Mystery Box thing Howe has going on right now, since there you are picking between a known player and an unknown, and different people place different values on the known players. But it should work for most drafts.

Players like Knight, Lamb, Tahir, Trescothick etc. (and others who are yet to be picked) are hardly talked about (maybe in this forum they are) when we discuss ODI cricket. But they have been very efficient in their roles and contributed significantly to their respective teams.
