ODI Descending Draft

HookShot

U19 Vice-Captain
I literally have no idea about the rules other than my current pick has to have a value below my previous one.

So how do you determine the cut-offs for multiple picks?

So for arguments sake could I have selected 3 players if they had values of 233, 234 and 235?

That is, between KKs and Trundler‘s last picks?

But because I went below Trundler’s 232 I only get one pick?

So hyperthetically, could I have picked a second player who had played 239 ODIs?

How do you determine the cut-off for multiple picks?
You can make multiple picks as long as your previous pick has the maximum no. of ODI caps. So yes, had you picked a hypothetical player with 239 ODI caps, you would've got another pick since your previous pick (239) would have been the highest in the draft.

What Bitmap said and in this exact example if you picked a player with 235 caps, you would then have to wait for Bitmap (238) and KingKallis (236) to make picks with number of caps lower than 235. In case of a tie on 235 you would all be able to pick simultaneously.

So multiple picks between 238 (Bitmap) and 243 (myself) would have been fine?

Yep, though it's hard to know how fast you should pace yourself in these drafts. How much you should compromise quality for a double pick

Yes, it only depends on the number the next person in line is on.

And another way to think of it is that you can only get a double pick by taking someone everyone else has passed over.
