Okay, poor was a huge stretch, but yeah, I don't think he was much great either. 0 tons in whole career is a bit iffy for a proper MOB
He may be the best ODI player to not score a century. He has the most ODI runs without a 100 in the entire game. Look at his average - really good for someone who did not score 100s, and that's a testament to his consistency.

Consistency was one of those rare things for Pakistan teams of those times. He came in at 3 or 4 down for like 30 or something on a regular basis and had to change his game to prevent a collapse. He's also more than capable of going after the bowling if he wanted to.

Maybe biased as I watch him only late career, but he seemed a tad bit too slow to me.

(You might also be interested in knowing I use to rate Sangakkara like top 20 ODI bat, as the image in my mind is mostly from 2015 WC, outside of which in ODIs I only remember glimpses of him in 2011 WC)

Strange, I only did it because I thought the side was shithouse. I've got no eye for what's a good team in ODI drafts.
Your pace attack of Lee, Bond, and Donald will put most teams to the sword in this format I reckon. The batting is ok as well but Klusener is probably the star of that team and may be critical to you winning it at the death.

He started off being a very aggressive bat and someone who regularly won it for Pakistan with some big hitting in the last few overs. He had to change his natural game quite a bit since he found himself batting a lot earlier in the innings than was ideal for the finisher role. It's a bit similar in Tests actually - he started off being more flamboyant and ended up a gritty type who occupied the crease. He was not slow.

It's strange that you mention Sangakkara because the opposite is true in his case. He was genuinely a bit of a slow scorer in ODIs and if you watched him bat from 2000 to 2010ish, you'd struggle to rate him in the top 50 even. He upped his scoring rate and got his average above 40 only thanks to the last few years of his career. This is a credit to the guy actually, because he absolutely worked hard to improve and make the best of an otherwise ordinary ODI career.

NGL, Himmanv praising Sangakkara wasn't in my 2025 Bingo card......

The immediate thoughts that came to my head as I read through each side -

trundler - ATG bowling, meh batting and keeping
Luffy - good top order and lower middle order but maybe too much cake. no second spinner is a turn off.
Himan - Good side but maybe light on proper spin options for SC wickets.
Bitmap - Almost perfect side if he could have shagged a Right arm fast bowler instead of either Starc or Akram.
L&L - too many lefties and very suss last 4
ataraxia - Brett Lee at 3? NO thanks.
Silver Silva - Good side with depth from all aspects. Only weakness is Rahul as keeper and no lefties apart from Head in the top 7.
Cricaddict - One of the better sides this draft
Pothas - decent side but again have feeling will be found out in the SC.
Jojo - Good side but somehow just reads slightly unbalanced as I go through it Maybe a left arm seamer would have helped.

So going to vote, in order

Cricaddict
Silver Silva
Bitmap

Jojo if I had to pick a 4th
Rahul showed he is a good white ball keeper in the Champions trophy keeping to Indias variety of spin bowlers , didn't make any big mistakes and he averages about 50 in the middle order at a high SR it's a good trade off.

I've got batting till 10 and I don't think many teams can score a big total v Hadlee , Lillee , Flintoff , Johnson and Kumble with Aravinda chipping in with offspin
