With budgets getting slim it is in the drafters interest to bid wisely. If you try to punch above your weight for any specific player then the penalties you might incur could be harsh.

If you end up with a penalty and have no $$ to pick penalty player as per the budget assigned to them, I will have to complete your 11 with players like Dermot Reeve, Rohan Gavaskar, Pommie Mbangwa etc. Same applies if you run out of budget before Round 11.

Bid wisely and hope you continue to have fun for rest of the rounds.

I would say all the penalties have been relatively tame. Players you won't pay that much for by any chance, but fine players nonetheless. Think Hooper was available as a penalty option at some point as well.
