Amanda Flynn, in her lady luck segment, put $500 on Australia. Seemed a bit stupid to me seeing as they are at such short odds.
If it is for charity, is it not better she goes for something short in odds that cannot be lost easily?

A first try scorer or a margin can easily go wrong and the charity gets nothing.

Australia have been dominant and clinical. Simon's prediction could be right if we keep gifting them pill. The kicking game improved when Marshall got out there, hopefully he can turn things round for us. Not looking good at this stage. The Aussies have just been too good.

What a brilliant performance by the Aussies, absolutely superb.

Can't help but think now, are the NZ League team the most over-rated team in world sport.

Bah I forgot it was on delay...Tahu just tapped the ball back to Hunt who got out of the in-goal. Freakish stuff. I know the result now though :(

No? As I said earlier Australia were clinical and punished us when we made errors.

NZ will bounce back in the Tri Nations... we always get hammered in ANZAC tests. It would have been great if we had have been competitive but it wasn't really surprising considering that Wiki pulled out. The lack of On field leadership cost us and we fell apart as soon as we started dropping ball.

Those trys down that left hand side were horrible to watch as a kiwis fan as the defense was just horrible in terms of organisation.

Australia were far better on the night and things just didn't go our way.

We will bounce back.

Oh and Stacy Jones might have helped cushion the margin...

Best part of the night for NZ fans would have to have been Pritchard's shot on Hunt. I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy that.

I dont look so stupid now do i?

Great win for the aussies, we prove we are easily the best in the world, Darren Lockyer, what a performance, Kennedy, outstanding, Mason and Petero just brilliant, simply too good across the paddock...

Neither had good games IMO
Tahu had his moments, Hunt was solid while he was on, one or two bad passes, but for a 19 year old on International debut i think he did well enough given the circumstances...

A few points:
- Hunt, not good enough for international football yet. Tried hard and did well though.
- Lockyer played very well, looked best at fullback at the end.
- Cooper had a solid match despite me thinking he wouldn't do much.
- Tahu was superb except for that huge mistake.
- Kennedy, Mason, and Simpson were great in the forwards.
- Benji certainly didn't want to use his right shoulder, surprised he said after the match that he felt confident with it.

I disagree, he was great under pressure, took all the right options and showed a certain flair you need at this level, you have to remember the pressure he was under and hes only 19.

definately, you cant fault any of the Aussie forwards at all, Petero was outstanding and Mason was brilliant, O'Donnell was probably the most quiet of the lot but he did get through a lot of work.

Benji certainly didn't want to use his right shoulder, surprised he said after the match that he felt confident with it.
Benji definately isnt fit enough yet, as good as he is in attack hes far too much of a liability in defence...

So the decision to throw a speculator five metres out from his own line was the right decision? Otherwise he had a quiet match, which means he didn't do much else wrong besides get flattened by Pritchard.

to be honest for 60 minutes i was planning my excuses, the game didnt deserve a 38 point margin and in the end it was only the individual brilliance of Buderus and Lockyer that made it such a large gap...
even though we won easily the Kiwis did better than i expected, they have plenty to work on for the tri nations and i expect it to be closer then...
