NZ team in bar 'brawl'

Some of the NZ team, including Cairns, took their shirts off and did the haka in front of a public whose cricket team had just lost a heartbreaking game to them. So they twatted the meathead. Quite understandable really.
Under no circumstances could this type of thing be classified as a reasonable reaction.

Who said anything about it being reasonable? I said it was understandable. You defeat the South African team in an absolutely heartbreaking loss and then go out and rub their fans' noses in it in public, will you really be surprised when some of them take offence, especially when the situation is already fuelled by alcohol? It's hardly 'reasonable' behaviour by Cairns and his chums to take off their shirts and do the haka in front of the SA fans (who are also their hosts) after the defeat to begin with. What did they expect their reaction to be? Claps, cheers and then buying them a beer at the bar afterwards? They were asking for it, and they got it.

The NZ team already had a reputation for abusing the hospitality of the South Africans. Maybe now they'll be a bit more respectful.

Yeah you're right, NZ should have been aware of previous problems with sports teams in Durban.

Very Disappointing, but the fact that no charges have been placed means that the media might have over-reacted a little to Cairns & the guy who punched him.
