NZ domestic season 2023/24

Not Terrible
Sumo neither pays attention to the game nor knows anything about it. He can't even perform his role and be excited on the big moments: often takes ages to get excited about a six (or indeed a wicket, but he's so shouty I instinctively mute him when he does get excited anyway).

But the worst part is just how he makes **** up. It's appalling.
I reckon the worst is how he constantly forgets who is batting or bowling. That really is the bare minimum

Younghusband's stats don't even make sense to me haha. So good this season but perpetually flying under the radar

I went to the scorecard of Younghusband's FC debut and I completely forgot Canterbury still have Shipley on the books.

They're hoovering up literally every bowler in the country. Knowing domestic teams, if they ever get a full strength line up they'll definitely play them all and pull a Milne #7 if not a 00s Medium Pacer #5.

I know they often say the boundary catcher didn't need to move... But Macewell genuinely did not need to move there.

The equation is still fine but they need one of the young boys in the engine room to put his hand up for NZ honours today.

van Beek should be playing as a batting all-rounder in this lineup imo
He's unfortunate to be kiwi and not Big 3 scum. Solid T20 player and has a habit of winning matches for the Dutch against much stronger opponents. If he was Australian he would get a gig in the random mercenary leagues like all their journeymen.

tbf they did choose the right balance today, rightly choosing to leave Rippon out.

But something like

Latham
Foulkes
Nicholls
Mitchell
McConchie
MJ Hay
Shipley
Jamieson
Sodhi
Henry
O'Rourke

is definitely happening some time.

Conway ffs
