Whatever it takes!!!
Nobody has scored more runs than me at a better average or no one has taken more wickets than me at a better average XI

Don Bradman
Kumar Sangakkara
Steve Smith
Sachin Tendulkar
Jacques Kallis
Garry Sobers
Malcolm Marshall
Sydney Barnes
Curtly Ambrose
Muttiah Muralitharan
Glenn Mcgrath
Would lose to the second XI.

Worst Batting Average by Position XI for the 21st century.

I'm only considering players who have played 20+ tests in that specific position and only their batting average in the position).

Javed Omar (22 in 40 tests)
Devon Smith (23 in 39 tests)
Nasser Hussain (29 in 20 tests) (c)
Micheal Clarke (30 in 38 tests)
Mohammad Ashraful (24 in 32 tests)
JP Duminy (25 in 20 tests)
Khaled Mashud - (18 in 32 tests) (wk)
Peter Siddle (12 in 20 tests)
DBL Powell (6 in 21 tests)
Kemar Roach (6 in 23 tests)
Chris Martin (2 in 71 tests)

Clarke is actually the second worst after Ashraful but Ashraful wins No.5 as well so could squeeze him in at 4.

It's not a bad side tbh.

Well Clarke stands head and shoulders above the rest but honestly i'm surprised he played that much at 4

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Going off my not-very-successful guess the cricketer from the picture clues attempt, based mostly on nicknames:

Fighter Jets XI
1: WM Lawry (F-4 Phantom II)*
2: MJ Horne (F-18 Hornet)
3: A Turner (Su-17 Fitter)
4: BKG Mendis (F9F Cougar)
5: WB Phillips (Ye-152A Flipper)†
6: JC White (Mig-19 Farmer)
7: FH Tyson (Eurofighter Typhoon)
8: AA Donald (English Electric Lightning)
9: Bill O'Reilly (F11F Tiger)
10: Fred Spofforth (F3H Demon)
11: Doug Bollinger (F-15 Eagle)

Now that's the first 11 I thought of. Appropriately fast bowling heavy, but with a tail too long for the comfort of anyone except NSW. Since Wikipedia tells me that Chanderpaul was also nicknamed 'Tiger', and of course MAK Pataudi was. I'll take out O'Reilly, put one of them 5 and bump everyone else down one.

doesn't quite fit the thread but

A team of crap players with crap team balance that would beat Australia in Australia:

Tom Blundell /
Zak Crawley /
Dawid Malan /
Joe Root /
Yasir Shah /
Rishabh Pant + /
Shardul Thakur o /
Washington Sundar o /
Jimmy Anderson o / (stock bowler)
Scott Borthwick o
Rubel Hossain* (moral support; helps psychology of the rest of team by assuring them they aren't the worst in the side)
