Aye, I stand corrected. Should've read through the thread first.Samuel_Vimes said:Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, England, Sri Lanka, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Australia, Jamaica, New Zealand - Thirteen by my count
well steven is obviously not very accurate, given that ponting has never even come close to scoring a century in india and hayden likewise in england.shaka said:Cricinfo did the ask steven this week, and said five people have made the milestone of centuries against all countries played against, at time of writing this five people have made the list with Atapattu being the newest member. My question however is who will be the next person to do so?
The people who are closing on the milestone and are still playing include, (brackets are for the team without a century against)
Ponting ( Bangladesh)
Hayden ( Bangladesh)
A century against, not in - Hayden made 197 against England at the 'Gabba in 2002, Ponting 125 against India in 1999.tooextracool said:well steven is obviously not very accurate, given that ponting has never even come close to scoring a century in india and hayden likewise in england.
But this is just in reference to tests full stop. Not in each country. Ponting and Hayden have both made centuries against those teams you've mentioned at home.tooextracool said:well steven is obviously not very accurate, given that ponting has never even come close to scoring a century in india and hayden likewise in england.
The question was about centuries against all countries, not in all countries. Both Ponting and Hayden have scored centuries against all bar Bangladesh, though not necessarily in all countries.tooextracool said:well steven is obviously not very accurate, given that ponting has never even come close to scoring a century in india and hayden likewise in england.
Yes, actually sounds like a very good thread. Though there might be a few people who are to stubborn to admit that their opinions can be changed.vic_orthdox said:We're all just desperate to find something worth posting about.
What about if I gauge opinion in here about a new thread I've been thinking of starting? Posting about how joining CricketWeb has changed your opinions, and in what ways?
I.e. I've realised how over-inflated Hayden's rating is, and learnt to appreciate Murali more. Would it get enough posts??

All in all he has 14 centuries in the West Indies, with his best ground being Antigua where he has 4 and an average of 85.89. He has 4 in England, 3 in Australia, 3 in Sri Lanka, 2 in South Africa, 1 in New Zealand, 1 in Zimbabwe, 0 in Pakistan in 4 tests, 0 in India in 3 tests, and 0 in Bangladesh where he has never played. Shows, I suppose, moderate success in the subcontinent compared to elsewhere, with only Sri Lanka being very successful for him. Still, a nice spread elsewhere.
Not a chance.FaaipDeOiad said:Logic suggests that next Australia-Bangladesh series (which off the top of my head is midway through 2006) should see a couple of new members to the 9 century club.
Have to say it's because IMO he's usually not prone to making mistakes.Adamc said:Hardly any posting going on in the rest of the forum, but when TEC makes a mistake there are three corrections within a minute of each other.

After a 5-0 humbling in the Ashes, the Aussies will embark on a run of 75 straight Test defeats.
