I'd think management skills would be more important at international level than at club level, not coaching.cpr said:Realistically i'd go for McLaren. He's done alright at boro considering (if you've ever been to smoggie land you'll know its damn hard to attract top players), as coach at utd he did very well (i'm mean look at us now we've got that useless portuguese fella!).
At international level its more about coaching than managing skills, ok sometimes you might have to deal with a prima donna at a big tournament, but on pure coaching skills McLaren is far and away the best there is.
Cant rule out Alladyce though, he does bring alot of technical skill to the job.... wouldnt bet against the two of them together really....
Defenders getting injured and having a very small pool of quality players to choose from when the injuries happen, being midtable and having little to play for.marc71178 said:Such as?
Yeah and besides, the English are delusional about him managing their national team. I think he'll stay on with Australia to see if he can help us retain the cup in South Africabroncoman said:id prefer if Hiddink stayed on as PSV manager tbh...

Now that's just not fair!broncoman said:
You know, if you'd linked us to an article that wasn't dated yesterday, and didn't have "Hiddink interested in England job" at the bottom, that might have had some weight...broncoman said:
So he can use injuries as an excuse then, but when it happens to Sven, it's poor management...Scaly piscine said:Defenders getting injured and having a very small pool of quality players to choose from when the injuries happen, being midtable and having little to play for.
You'd think the record would wear out after a section has played itself over 40,000 times.marc71178 said:So he can use injuries as an excuse then, but when it happens to Sven, it's poor management...
Marc is a double sided DVD..Scaly piscine said:You'd think the record would wear out after a section has played itself over 40,000 times.
For the umpteenth time:marc71178 said:Well try being consistent then.
If it was poor management for Eriksson it is also poor management for Curbishley.
Of course the fact that one is a Swede and one English clouds your judgement.

It's not been shot down though, vecause you're ignoring half of the Tournaments.Scaly piscine said:Now if you'd like to stop using arguments that have been shot down before (such as the Rooney injury) the debate might go somewhere.
Who kept playing an unfit Beckham?marc71178 said:It's not been shot down though, vecause you're ignoring half of the Tournaments.
I suppose missing the likes of Gerrard, Neville and a fit Beckham were all bad management then?
