ffs what is the point of bringing on sodhi when india have exactly zero scoreboard pressure to work with and he has almost as many runs as the two indian openers to his name?

edit: well fine you ND bugger bowl a good over then.

Do you classify Anderson as a genuine all rounder? How do you rate him?
I think he could be a very balanced player because when he's at full fitness he's got the look of a test match wicket taker, but atm i think his batting is definitely his strongest suit and his tendency to get injured probably isn't helping his bowling development, and it's showing in his results.

edit: im also in the "he needs to be a test standard bowler if he wants to bat with the technique he does" camp, though maybe kippax video of his flops and the dodgy 167 make him look worse than he is

hopefully mchesson are watching this game on an illegal stream of their own so they can see if bradburn has been spinning them yarns.

1 run required. give ronchi a bowl imo

or just bring back henry for his most pointless over ever.

edit: latham, devcich, cachopa, mitchell, anderson, ronchi, ellis, dougeh, sodhi, henry, milne

can we have that for next game? everyone is batting in a decent position and we give a couple of the test squad boys a good run. maybe chuck gillespie in there somewhere too

Performances in List A cricket =/= skill in first-class and test cricket though. Astle along with half of our competent test bowlers are examples of that.

well yeah but i was thinking they could watch it then be like "so grant, how did the boys look?" and when he says "sodhi's figures looks bad but trust me mate he was spinning it like warnie and had 5 dropped catches, and anderson got a pearler from so and so" mchesson can be like "lol bro, learn to freeload"

according to cricinfo he is 21 years 148 days. He will finish filling out this year and hopefully be more stable.

I would rather he hurt his knee/shoulder than his back.
to me that means there are less issues with his action.

Good to see Chand scoring some runs. After u-19 world cup final he has been in horrendous form

You can strengthen the back. Messing up your knee/shoulder means lifelong management.
Tell that to Ian Bishop.

I don't think any of Milne's injuries so far have been of the career-threatening variety, so hopefully now that he's nearing the magic 22-mark he should be able to stay on the park for longer. However, this season's schedule might make it difficult. The problem with playing FC and T20's alongside one another is that they demand completely different kinds of fitness. T20's require bowlers to charge in and throw everything they have at the batsman, while FC matches require more stamina. I've heard a few physio's say that requiring players (especially young ones) to switch rapidly in between the two formats is a recipe for serious injury.

That's a fair walloping of NZ A in the one-dayer. Decent recovery by Mitchell and Sodhi but with an Indian pitch and seeing India A's score would assume 300-320 was par. Echo the calls for Latham to replace Ronchi at the top and push Ronchi down to somewhere where he might even score runs.

Good to see Robin and Chand get loads of runs. Let's just hope at least Robin keeps the runs piling up- the Indian team then has a limited-overs opener. He's also had a good 2012-13 FC season, but he didn't open in most of the matches.

Chand had a breakaway debut FC season, but has struggled to keep up since. He's done well in every limited-overs tournament except the IPL, where the team bosses gave him little to no room to grow, as he got nine out of sixteen games. He shouldn't have been promoted to open the batting, though.

Meenu bowls ten tight overs of off-break, and gets out for no score. He's already a poor performer in limited-overs cricket. A fifth bowler would be a better choice.

watching those replays...

Adam Milne swings it both ways.

Getting him in the test team please
