Well since no one else posted a question, I guess I'll post one after all:

Fairly easy but anyway:
I once broke a record of Ian Botham's that had lasted twenty years before it was taken off me in less than a month. Who and I am and what was my record?

Was it a bowling record ?

the record was held briefly by adam gilchrist, and then was taken away a month later by Nathan astle

the record is the fastest 200 in test cricket

Botham's 200 came off 220 deliveries vs indian in 1982

Gilchrists came off against south africa in 01/02

and astle's came off 153 balls against england in 01/02 as well

since then herschell gibbs has recorded a one of 211 vs pakistan in 02/03 vs pakistan

I knew it was too easy.

Adam Gilchrist and the record for the fastest double hundred in test matches is correct.

Question

Quote-'used to bowl tripe; used to write tripe; now he sells tripe.' :D :D
Who was the cricketer associated with this quote ?

Since the thread hasnt moved so fats....heres one.

I am looking for a milestone that only Dean Jones or Alan Border can lay claim to (and it's not batting 4th for Australia during the early 90's)

Correct. Now Deeps, you previously failed to post a question, So since you've answered two questions in a row, I think you should post a question.
Because, I think its unfair some guys come around the trivia threads and just post the answers without posting a question.(They know who they are ;) )

Thanks Bookie, for posting that question !! :)

But everyone who answers a question must try and post a question, otherwise this thread will become stagnant.

There are one or two individuals (have a look at Cricket guru thread) lately who've just posted answers and claimed to be busy or not having a question   to post.

But they have answered a few questions in a row. That to me is pretty annoying !! :@

Because if you can answer a few questions, then it can't be that difficult to post a question (however simple it may be- in the interests of keeping the thread moving).

Yeh true, but I thought it was more exciting to post a question ratehr than answer one, so its their disadvantage to me.

Is it to do with high scores?

I am looking for a milestone that only Dean Jones or (dont mind the OR so much) Alan Border can lay claim to....

1 - Is it to do with batting - Yes, I would say so
2 - Is it to do with high scores - No (well, not really, I'll get back to you)
