there goes my guess. i initially thought the answer would be the fact that they made their debuts against their home country. ed joyce debuted against ireland

would be interesting to find out the answer to the question though

I think it's more likely that their father's were the first four customers of Derek Trotter's and Jumbo Mills's jellied eels stall in Peckham in the 60's.

How're you getting on with the Frith book then Martin?

Me, I find it a hard one to read 'cover to cover.' Seems like one for dipping into.

Suits me at the present time David as my attention span is fairly short - I'm pleased its a lot of magazine pieces rather than just carving chunks out of his books

Obviously, only two have played Test cricket, and only three ODIs - so is it related to first-class cricket?

Related to a particular ground, perhaps?
