We are/were two players. We have/had/have done/have performed 2 things in common in test cricket which no third player has done/performed/achieved in test cricket; one among them is statistical, the other (which is more interesting) is not statistical. Who are we and what are those 2 things/achievements/performances?
1. is the non statistical thing winning a knighthood? or dating/marrying a beauty pageant winnner? or having affairs with indian film actresses? - no
2. did you both play for the same team? - no

Sorry guys, my last question was slightly erroneous. Now, I'm posting a new question, and a very interesting one, if you permit...Sorry for the waste of time -

Gregory c Verity b Farnes 80(181)

Why is this piece of statistics remembered?

Edit: In the last question, I thought about Rohan Kanhai and AB De Villiers. But then there were a very few other players who made their first and only double hundred in India, and a very few others who hit six with 'falling hook' shot...though they were the only ones to do both...

Wilfred Rhodes, the oldest Test player? (2nd George Gunn)

Edit: correction, Ironmonger and Grace were both older than Gunn, so not that obviously.

Is it to do with what a player does on the field (while batting, bowling, fielding, catching etc)?

How can you say Bradman, Hussey, Lohmann and Barnes have the best averages unless you specify minimum number of innings played or minimum number of wickets taken to be considered?

Did you make your debut before WW1 ?

If yes, did you make it in the 19th century?

Is it a record to do with batting?
