Lets have a who am I?

A sad end for a once great Cricketer, he died in a mental institution, after being found guilty of passing dud cheques?

Just kidding, here is a clue, his Test career ended after a motor cycle accident. And he was an amateur :)

Frank Foster ?
You swine! That was gonna be my guess too! :p

Bit of a rum fellow by all accounts. Captained Warwickshire to their first County Championship in 1911 & took 62 wickets on the 1911/12 Ashes tour, he was investigated in 1931 for passing an iffy cheque to a woman who was murdered shortly after &, although police decided against charges on that occasion, he was committed to a mental institute in 1950 after passing a series of dud cheques.

Also one of the architects of Jardine's leg-theory attack on the 32/33 tour, although he roundly castigated DRJ after the fact.
