Who said this of the one day game ??

For the spectators it’s a superb game. Personally I cant bear to watch it – its too damned stereotyped. I won a few man of the match awards but I couldn’t tell you what they were.

Q1. Is this player West Indian?.....NO
Q2. Is this player an all-rounder?.....NO (Mainly a batsman and known as such)
Q3. Is he from England?.....YES :)
Q4. Did he make his debut during the 1980s?....NO
Q5. After the 80s?....NO :)
Q6. did he play in the 1975 World Cup?....NO :)
Q7. Graham Gooch ?.....NO
Q8. Did he play more than 75 ODIs?....NO
Q9 Was he well known for the famous (or notorious) reverse sweep that is said to have cost England the World Cup in the 1987 WC final ?....NO
Q10. Derek Randall.....NO
Q11. DId he play in the 1979 World Cup then?.....NO

Hint No. 1 : He averaged in the forties in test matches and his game was eminently suited to the limited overs variety of the game.

Q12. Did he play more than 20 test matches?....YES
