I'm in the 'pro' camp. Much prefer the separation of bowling and batting with the similar stats grouped together. Mind you, other than that it's really not vastly different.

Sorry to dig this up again, but i've just noticed that the link to matches from the player stats pages appears to no longer exist.
For example: 1st Test v Eng in Eng 1971 at Birmingham [687]
You would normally be able to click on the Test match number in square brackets which links to the game. Is there another way to do it? I hope this is only temporary because it is extremely annoying.

Indeed you are both right on both counts, and it's exceedingly annoying.
Another extremely bizarre, but far less relevant, thing is that StatsGuru seems to have lost the DOBs! For everyone I've used it for so far it says "Born: ?"

I noticed the bit next to the bowler in the live commentary page keeps disappearing, ie where it should have S Harmison (RF) it just has S Harmison.

The terrible thing about the new format, apart from the rearrangement of the stats, is the "content.cricinfo.com" concept, where everything- articles, player and ground pages, has a corresponding number to it in its address, but not its name. For instance, look at this page:
http://content.cricinfo.com/ci/content/player/12440.html
How can you tell who that player is? Earlier, the address had the player name, so using auto-complete or the history list, you could locate the player page more easily. Now you have numbers to remember.

Perhaps because dubbing bowlers as a certain speed is wholly stupid?
